Flicking the lighter
The sucking of the filter
Like setting tar on fire
Taking a breath of it
Filling my lungs up to the tip
Sending me up on a high
My senses are like
That of a bike
Speeding by
A moment of thrill
Just like a ride
I took in my life
Huff and Puff
The cigarette choke like tuff
As it burned away is a rush
Now left with a bitter
A bitter aftertaste
That last….
By Madeleine Wan
This bitter aftertaste is about the difficult times i have been through.. for the many lessons i have learnt though my own experience. It is over but it will stay with me all my life.. Well, i seem to be better at sad poems.... cos it is from our most painful past that we learn the most i guess.
