Simple Thoughts.... Complex Thinking..... In Search For An Answer

Got an invitation to a Citigroup wine tasting event at The Forbidden City, Indochine at Clarke Quay.. It was interesting! The sampling of wine.. red & whites of 4 different continents: South Africa, New Zealand, France & Australia....

Some lessons I gained from the sommelier:
  • The body of a wine generally refers to the weight or fullness of a wine in your mouth. It is not the taste when you first drink it... it is the feel after you drink it.. Wines can be categorized as light in body, medium or full.
  • There is a difference between a sweet wine & fruity wine... fruity doesn't = sweet.. pple tend to mix these two up...
  • Between tasting, change the glass or wash the glass with the lighter wine first if the prior tasting is with a heavier wine..

After tasting the wine.. then there was also fusion vietnam finger food.. fried prawn rolls, seaweed patties, duck cum yam pieces... A selection of Cheese.. blue cheese, goat cheese.. Then how about ending it off with inhouse chocolates made by their own chef.. dark and white chocolates with raisins & nutty filling... Wah... Jealous yet? hee hee....
